Masterson is committed to establishing and maintaining a foundation of corporate citizenship. The Masterson Foods executive team strongly believes in the development of employees, diversity, fiscal responsibility, human rights, ethics, and green practices. As such, Masterson Foods develops its policies with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights in mind. It is important that our employees, contractors, and suppliers endorse this ideology of corporate social responsibility, which is why Masterson suppliers sign a Code of Ethics and Masterson Foods undertakes an ethical trade audit. In addition, our family-owned company strives to do our part in climate resilience. We are mindful of our footprint and consistently looking for ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
We believe we have a responsibility to reduce our environmental impact. We do this by actively implementing aspects of sustainable manufacturing practices throughout our operation. Each year we evaluate and work on continuous improvement initiatives as our company grows and changes.

The California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 requires certain retailers and manufacturers doing business in California to disclose any activities they engage in and to what extent the company’s efforts are to ensure their supply chain is free from human trafficking and slavery.
While Masterson does not currently audit our suppliers, we are committed to high ethical standards and expect our suppliers to also demonstrate their commitment. We have a Supplier Code of Conduct that all new vendors must acknowledge that they act in accordance with applicable laws, which include child and forced labor, discrimination and harassment, health and safety, as well as an anti-corruption statement. Any supplier Masterson finds or suspects violating our Code of Conduct or any applicable laws, including slavery or human trafficking, will be subject to an evaluation, a required action plan, or termination of our business relationship if the vendor can not/will not comply.
Masterson Foods follows all applicable local, state, federal, national, and international laws and regulations which include the laws related to child labor, forced labor/slavery, and discrimination. We believe and respect in personal dignity, the individual worth of every human being, and overall human rights. Masterson does not condone or use child labor, slavery or forced labor, human trafficking, or otherwise violate human rights laws.
Masterson Foods is committed to upholding the principles of Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC). In addition to adhering to FPIC in our own operations, our supplier policies explicitly require that any activity in our supply chain that may affect the rights, land, resources, territories, livelihoods, and food security of Indigenous Peoples or the local community must proceed only after their full and informed consent has been secured. Adherence to this principle is a non-negotiable requirement for all our direct suppliers.
